Kanza Lodge
Visit a re-creation of a Kanza Indian Lodge located on the banks of the Independence Creek. This resembles a typical family unit dwelling.
The lodge is immediately adjacent to the parking lot at the east end of 314th Rd. North of Atchison about 5 miles from Main St and Second St. intersection.
Come walk the trail and visit the actual site where Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery camped on the 4th of July in 1804.
Enjoy the flora and fauna along the trail. The are has been planted to native grasses.
